When Dr.Glyn Banks, the Director of QMX Laboratories contacted us, he was looking for something truly unique and personal to go in his new study he was having built.
He decided to go for a bespoke piece which turned out to be a 180x70cm DNA Vision® Duo H on Perspex.
We think the results speak for themselves and Dr.Banks and his wife were very happy with the outcome.
Just how do DNA11 do it?
A company based in Canada that offers FREE shipping globally, FREE stretching and wrapping of the Canvas you order and on top of that they give 20% of the value of the order to Cancer Research UK.
Now I’m all for fair competition but this just does not make commercial sense. For example:
If you ordered a Medium Canvas from DNA11 which at todays price costs £312.00
Shipping and printing is done from a company based in the UK ( Not DNA11 by the way).
If they shipped it to Germany for example it would cost about £50.00 to send this via a courier.If they shipped it within the UK this will cost about £12.
The stretching, wrapping and packing would cost at least £60-70 if done professionally.
The printing would cost between £40-50 if done professionally.
And on top of that they give 20% to Cancer Research UK – (approx £60 which is 20% of £312.
That leaves about £80 pounds left from the £312 as profit!
BUT WAIT: they have to send the swab kit out (post costs) and most importantly they must get your swab sent to the lab to produce your unique image. Now in my own experience and you can check this with any labs. This will take several hours over many days.
They will also have to get one of their designers to convert the image from the lab into an image you can print.
How can DNA11 make a profit?
Just some food for thought for people looking to buy a DNA Portrait from DNA11.
Sometimes it just sounds TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE!!
We made a custom Perspex piece for a young man a few weeks ago. This client knew exactly what he wanted and was very determined to get something that would be totally unique.
We created something totally unique for him and after we followed him up we got this amazing response. We do gets lot of positive customer feedback but this is by far the most detailed we have received.

Sorry for the late answer haven’t opened my mail in days and didn’t have much time in general.
Review
When I was looking for companies that made DNA-art the first one I found was DNA11. However I didn’t like their designs as they felt very uninspired and I don’t like canvas either. On top of that I don’t want to give my DNA to any North American company as it will likely be abused by authorities. Later I found another company (don’t remember the name but it was in Spain) that offered Perspex DNA-art. The designs were better but it had huge edges that were solid colour with the DNA-thing in the middle. Didn’t like that either. Finally I found DNA-art UK and found the designs very beautiful. No copies from DNA11 but it’s own unique design that had great appeal to me. Colours were more vivid and I liked the fact that the DNA bars were more pronounced. So I decided to send an e-mail inquiring for more information. The reply came very fast which impressed me as alot of companies send replies very late, send a boring automated reply (how dare they) so I decided to place an order.
After the order was placed I soon got a thank you e-mail which didn’t look automated so that made it all feel like I could trust the company. Any question I asked was answered in time and almost completely. Even when I asked for custom colours very late on the timescale I wasn’t given a no but to my surpise it wasn’t a problem. After alot of e-mails between your company and me the final design was given the okay and printed.
Overall
Design: Excellent, best i’ve seen compared to competition and a good artist that knows what the customer wants and can put it into art.
Quality: Excellent, nice thick Perspex not the thin rubbish I used to work with at school.
Customer Service: Best I ever encountered.
Packaging: Excellent, really well packaged maybe to well as it took me 15+ minutes to unpack it.
Timeframe of delivery: Excellent, if it wasn’t it’s the blame of TNT.
I can recommend this company to anyone that wants a truly unique artwork. Job well done Mr.Scolaro and your team.
It’s not unusual for us to create custom colours for our customers so when we were asked by a customer in Holland to make a Purple version of our Red Mix we gladly obliged.

Having your own bespoke suit made is something that every guy dreams of.
We have partnered up with Cad & the Dandy, the luxury London based tailor to take owning a ”personalised suit” to the next level.
Customers of Cad & the Dandy will have the option of having their own DNA profile displayed in the lining of the suit or having the DNA of one of the two owners James Sleater and Ian Meiers.
By following the same process of our customers buying DNA Art as a picture, they will take a swab of their DNA and send it back to us. We will then process the DNA in our U.K based lab and when ready send the digital file over back to Cad & the Dandy who will print the image onto silk.
